Elsa Botão Alves

She is a Portuguese teacher at the Portuguese School of Macau. She has a degree in Modern Languages and Literatures from Universidade Nova de Lisboa (1984), a Master’s in Multidisciplinary Portuguese Studies from Universidade Aberta (2014) and a Postgraduate Degree in Philosophy for Children from the University of the Azores (2015). She has been active in the teaching of Portuguese language and literature, in the development of reading projects with children and adolescents of mother tongue and non-mother tongue and in the field of translation. She published O Panda Fala Português (2014) in co-authorship with Carla Lobo and Sabrina Monteiro, a textbook for teaching FL Portuguese for the 1st. cycle, edited by the Portuguese School of Macau. Since 2014, she has participated in the Philosophy Project for Children and Adolescents at the Portuguese School of Macau.
