Adjunct Professor at UAc, with the General Nursing Course (December 1980); Degree in Nursing: Course of Higher Studies Specialized in Child and Pediatric Health Nursing (December 1988); Pedagogy Course Applied to Nursing Teaching (December 2005); Master's in School Health (Faculty of Medicine, University of Lisbon; January 2004); Master's in Education (UAc, March 2009); PhD in Educational Sciences – Curriculum Development Specialty (UAc, December 2013).

Beginning of professional activity in the scope of hospital care and later in the area of Primary Health Care with the provision of specialized nursing care to children at the Ribeira Grande Health Centre.

In 1991, she began teaching duties at the then Nursing School of Ponta Delgada at the level of nursing training.

She is a member of the School Council of the ESEnfPD of the University of the Azores and a collaborating member of NICA.

Since 2016 she has been President of the School Council and remains a member of the Technical-Scientific Council of Higher Polytechnic Education of the University of the Azores.

Since 2011 - Integrates the Scientific Committee of the APF Journal.

She has participated and participates in different projects as well as in Commissions of training events, as well as having made different communications and articles.
