Madalena Silva
She is assistant professor at the University of the Azores, since 1991, where she has taught the subjects of Modern and Contemporary Portuguese Literature (bachelor's and master's degree), Children's Literature (bachelor's and master's degree and, in these areas, supervised theses of master's and doctoral degrees.
She is a researcher at the Center for Portuguese Literature at the University of Coimbra and Nica, a member of ELOS – Galician-Portuguese Association for Research in Children’s and Youth Literature and ANILIJ and reviewer at Elos, Revista de Investigación en Literatura Infantil y Juvenil (University of Vigo) , peer-reviewed journal and Boletín Galego de Literatura (University of Santiago de Compostela) – with peer review – and member of the Scientific Committee of the Malasartes journal, Caderno de Estudos em Literatura Infantil e Juvenil, (José António Gomes, Porto Publisher).
She has participated in national and international conferences and colloquia in her area of research, either in the organization, in the scientific committee or as a speaker, having published several articles and chapters in national and international books and specialized journals on authors and issues related to the modern and contemporary literary expression or with the integration of literature for children and young people in the field of literary studies.
