He is Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Social and Human Sciences at the University of the Azores. Graduated in Sociology from Universidade Lusófona, Master in Sociology from Universidade Nova de Lisboa and PhD in Education, specializing in Sociology of Education, from the University of the Azores.

He teaches in Basic Education, Masters in Pre-School Education and Elementary School Teaching courses. Cycle of Basic Education, Sociology and Social Work at UAc.

He is an integrated member of CICS.UAc/CICS.NOVA.UAc and a contributing member of NICA-UAc.

His current Research Interests are: ideology and organizational culture, cultural leadership in complex contexts, school and educational management and administration, research methodologies, sociology applied to organizations.
