Ana Paula Garrão

Professor at the Department of Mathematics and Statistics, Faculty of Science and Technology, University of the Azores and PhD in Mathematics, Algebra specialty, from the University of the Azores. She is an integrated founding member of the Interdisciplinary Center for Children and Adolescents (NICA) at the University of the Azores.

She has been responsible for teaching curricular units in the degree courses in Economics, Management, Informatics - Networks and Multimedia and Basic Education.

She was part of the Organizing Committee of events for the dissemination, investigation and training of Mathematics aimed at various audiences, namely: "New Strategies for Learning Mathematics", in a partnership with the Regional Secretariat for Education and Culture of the Government of the Azores; “Workshop on Categorical Topology”; “Recreational Mathematics Colloquium III”; “A tour of science: Mathematics in our life”; “Mathematics Afternoons – Azores”; “Summer School of Mathematics: five days five themes”; “I CICA and II CICA -International Congress of Children and Adolescents”; “IX International Meeting on Educational Innovation”.
